I feel it's important to clarify how I use AI on No Centre, No Edge.
ChatGPT created the code for this site—for example, the sticky audio player, the semantic search, and the modifications to Blogger's Simple theme. I also use it to prepare the sticky audio player for each new post, help me identify related posts, and write metadata.
This is a practice journal, and the posts are my reflections based on personal experience. I sometimes ask my silicon friend to critique a reflection. For example, I might ask whether the writing is too self-referential, or sounds pedantic or preachy. I also use it to explore ways of describing an experience or expressing an idea that I'm having trouble articulating.
I work with ChatGPT much as I might ask a human friend or colleague to read something I've written and offer feedback. That feedback can influence how I shape or express a reflection, but the experience, interpretation, and final decisions about what appears here are mine.
Where I quote Ken McLeod, James Low, other teachers or published material, I check the wording against the original source. The transcripts that frequently appear on the site are not AI summaries or reconstructions.
